Built for Engineers,
by Engineers.
Squidtronic designs precision PCB adapters that bridge the gap between modern surface-mount ICs and breadboard prototyping. Over 260 adapters spanning 20+ package families — from simple SOT-23 breakouts to complex BGA-484 interposers.
Our Mission
Modern ICs come in increasingly tiny packages — QFN, BGA, WLCSP — that are impossible to prototype on a breadboard. Squidtronic makes that friction disappear. Our gold-plated, ENIG-finished adapters let you evaluate any IC without spinning a custom PCB.
Whether you're a student learning electronics, a maker building your first sensor project, or an R&D lab qualifying a new chip, we've got the adapter that fits.
How Our Adapters Work
Solder your IC
Place your surface-mount IC onto the adapter's precision-milled pads. Hand solder or use hot air — our pad geometry is optimized for both.
Plug into breadboard
Standard 2.54mm (0.1") DIP pin headers fit any breadboard, perfboard, or socket. No custom PCB required.
Prototype freely
Access every pin of your IC. Test circuits, evaluate features, iterate your design — all without waiting for PCB fabrication.
Engineering Quality
ENIG Gold Finish
Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold provides excellent solderability, corrosion resistance, and long shelf life.
Precision Routing
Controlled impedance traces for signal integrity. Optimized pad-to-pin routing minimizes crosstalk.
Thermal Design
Exposed-pad variants include via grids for thermal dissipation — essential for power management ICs.
100% Tested
Every adapter is electrically tested for continuity and isolation before shipping.
